I have a '95 Quattro with 163,000 miles. The annual repair continues to increase. It presently needs front struts and rear shocks.
Two questions:
1. What is a reasonable repair estimate for new struts and shocks.
2. Is it time to bite the bullet and trade for a newer and more relaible used car.
Thanks,
Bob S
Tirerack.com has struts/shocks, low cost for $250, Konis for about $700. Call around, get some quotes. Do you have a good independent Audi mechanic? Dealer will be very expensive.
Only you can judge, Audis have been known to become big money pits. If you are wanting a new car, I’d do it before replacing the struts, of course.
