I am struggling with an dome light sensor, works some times, then doesn’t and light stays on. I can’t find any switch on the door jam so I assume it is some kind of electronic gismo that is hidden. Where do I find it?
Fords of this vintage like my 98 Windstar had the switch built into the door latch. Try spraying some CRC Electrical Contact Cleaner or WD40 (in a pinch) into the latch while working the door handle to clean the switch contacts.
