Suspect camshaft break in that compression on cyl 1 ok but zero on 3 and 5 and see no rocker arm motion beyond #1 when cranking. Do you have to drop the entire engine to get to the cams or will it suffice to remove the intake manifolds? In other words, can the cams be removed with the engine in place with removal of the right engine mount?
Thanks
yes it can be done in car with a lift, just lower the engine enough to clear the body at the strut ,and be careful of over streching the hoses and all else.
but yes it can be done, shaves alot of time off waranty.
BLOOM ! where the BUMPSTICKS roam FREE.
The engine has to come out in order to replace the camshafts. You can read about it here.
