I have a 96 honda civic. I have a frozen alternator. I went about removing the alternator without a problem. The “book” said that removing the bottom bracket would allow the alternator to drop down by the engine block but I have done this and it is physically impossible without what appears to be dropping the drivers side shaft? I disassembled several upper wire and the alternator brackets and this part doesn’t seem to be coming out either way. Please help!
Try moving the alternator across to the otherside of the vehicle. Sometimes a large enough opening can be found for removal.
