Very much so.

Not many celebrate the 4th as originally intended. It isn’t even a day to remember those who have served, we have Veterans Day and Memorial Day and EVERYDAY for that. The 4th is Independence Day, when we celebrate the fact that we became independent of England. I suppose it is hard to appreciate the true meaning as we cannot imagine being subservient to another nation anymore.

I think too many take it for granted nowadays. Freedom isn’t free…thanks to all who have served.
