Warranty, warranty, warranty. The car is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer and they will fix it.
Yes, we have an '18 CX-5 and the XM has been perfect, so it sounds like you need service.
My experience with electronics like your audio system is that they either fail in the very first days of use or last quite a long time with no issues at all. I never buy extended warranties on them because of that. By the time something does fail the technology is often out of date and of little interest.
That said, go back and start the process of insisting on a replaced component. Do it in writing, keep a copy, keep a little diary.
