2019 Mazda CX-5 - Onboard sound and navigation glitches & gets worse. On braking and acceleration after barking, the screen ghosts, and at it’s worst & scariest, sets navigation volume to max, which is very startling & distracting. Brought this up to dealership early but was shrugged off. Progressively getting worse & will cause a bad accident .
Sorry you are having this issue, but did you have a question, or just making a statement??
If you did this during the bumper to bumper warranty period, you might be able to get Mazda to fix it.
I would look for an automotive sound shop to have it diagnosed, likely needs replacing.
Ah sorry, I may have posted in the wrong forum/subforum. I was curious as to whether others with the 2019 CX-5 models are or have experienced similar issues. I think based on the past experience with the dealership where it was brought to their attention several times, an Audio automotive repair shop may be the way to go.
You might get a Mazda owner to respond, but the thread goes out to any reader. Screen failure seem to affect many brands.
If you can’t get Mazda to step up by the dealer or even calling the Mazda Corp number, then you might check out the Crutchfield website…
Thanks! It is a strange issue & thought I saw something recently that was very similar, but I believe it only addressed the 2016 Mazda models. I’ve only observed it when at a full stop with the brakes depressed and after depressing the brakes to accelerate. Seems to be the common factor I can identify in it glitching, as though a loose connection or maybe even a bug in the navigation operating system. I’ll try Mazda Corporate and will check out Crutchfield’s website. I really appreciate y’alls advice.
fyi, your post probably started at the “ask someone who owns one” website, but was then redirected here, to the Car Talk forum. While it seems like a good idea on the surface, from experience here it’s rarely the case that for a given make/model/year, a problem on one car translates to the same problem on another. Suggest instead to search this forum for “screen” to see what other car owners have said about their cars w/screen problems. Search link upper right this page. Once you’ve reviewed that info and understand the range of symptoms reported here, you are welcome to come back to this thread for more ideas.
there is a software update that might take care of your problems.
