Don’t you have a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty?
Did this happen after your first winter with the vehicle? I had two GM products that did the same thing. The door seal would freeze to the frame and tear when the door was opened. If you bought it new, have the seals installed under warranty. Beyond that, put silicone lubricant on the seals in winter so they don’t stick to the door frame.
