I have a 2016 VW Tiguan. I took it in for the 45000 km check up. They told me it required rear brakes, that the brakes are only good for 35000. I questioned that, have you had any issues with the brakes wearing out so quickly? Car is driven to work and back by my wife. She drives it moderately, not a lot of traffic or stops on her route.
This is where the term ( second opinion comes into play ) and yes the brakes can be worn out at different mileage. Some people will need them sooner and some later.
Normal brake wear, especially on modern vehicles. You got 10K more miles than the dealer says is normal. Be happy, replace the rears and drive on.
