2006 Kia Spectra

At my 22,000 mile oil change at the Dealer, I was told that I needed a rear brake job and that was normal due to the placement of the E-brake (and will need done every 18 to 20,000 miles! )- has anyone else experienced this? ( and if so, what was Kia thinking?)

If they said the rear brakes will need to be replaced every 20k miles they lied to you. Maybe you have a driving/parking habit that caused the premature failure of your rear brakes. The service schedule for your car never calls for replacement of the brakes, only inspection and replacement as needed.
