2014 Sonata Steering Issues?

I have a 2014 Sonata with 64,000 miles on it and about 4-5 months ago I started noticing a popping, cracking sound when driving and hitting small holes on the road like potholes or going over speed bumps or train tracks. Over time it has become worse and now its doing it when I barely even turn the wheel left or right. I havent noticed any difference with the driving besides the noise and it doesnt pull left or right and gives no issues when driving, but it literally sounds like the steering column is about to fall in my lap.

I have attached a video to hopefully explain a bit better…

What could it be? Why is it doing it? How do I fix it?

Steering coupler has failed. Common problem on these cars.

There is a TSB on this car You might get Hyundai to fix it for free. Call the dealer and see.
