2014 Dodge Durango R/T AWD. Can downshift with paddle shifters but cannot shift upwards. Transmission stays in 1st gear until, while moving, I shift to neutral and then back to drive. Works fine on drive mode with no shifting problems.
It sounds like a bad shift solenoid. A good independent transmission shop can probably fix it.
I don’t think so because of this…
I’d say either the upshift paddle switch is bad or the wire it uses in the clock-spring is broken.
That’s entirely possible. I thought of both possibilities and still went with solenoid.
