v6 car is making a tapping noise, replaced vapor canister purge solenoid twice still making noise and a little louder. any suggestions or answers?
Low oil or too long between oil changes can lead to that. I doubt it had anything to do with the part you replaced.
The sound of duty cycle purge valves can be a distraction but should not become an obsession.
