2008 Honda Accord radio error

When turning the radio on it gives and Error Code 8. What does this mean?

OEM radio or aftermarket?

It’s OEM.

You might want to strip out the personal information and addresses from your sigline in your email replies to here.

Are you sure it’s error 8, or is it error E?

If it’s error E, you will need to remove and replace the radio fuse, which will then require you to enter the security code. You can find that in your owner’s manual. If you do not have the code card, you can get it from your dealership. Here’s how:

With the radio off, hold down buttons 1 and 6 as you press the power button. You will see a serial number on the display. Write that down, and show it to a Honda dealership service department. They will tell you the security code, which you enter and the radio will work normally.
