2007 Hyundai Elantra - need transmission flush?

I recently took my 07 Elantra (currently 44,000 miles) in for an oil change at the dealer. The mechanic recommended a transmission flush between 40,000 and 45,000 miles. Is it necessary to flush the transmission? I’ve researched a bit online and I’m receiving conflicting answers. Thanks!

It depends on what he is calling a “flush” is. You do need to have the fluid changed or exchanged.

Hyundai doesn’t recommend transmission fluid service until 60,000 miles. But having the service performed earlier isn’t going hurt anything. It’s up to you.

Just drain and refill every 25-30k miles. Automatics need to be serviced every 25-30k regardless of what the owners manual says.
