all the gauges are erratic and jump all over the place,I turn it off and it wont restart until i hook up battery booster
Check and clean the battery terminal connections. And have the battery and alternator tested.

My 2005 needs to have the cables cleaned more than average. Spraying with battery terminal protector after cleaning helps.
All the above. If the problem persists, the battery may have internal problems that mean it should be replaced. I don’t feel bad if I need a new battery, or feel more confident with one, after 5-6 years.
Your problems may be caused by a faulty Totally Integrated Power Module.
