Battery drains when turned off and needs to be recharged. Toyota says hybrid battery cell is bad and eventually will die and car will no longer go. Mileage is 227,000. Synthetic oil and good maintenance, one owner.
Has anyone purchased & replaced hybrid battery ( cell) for a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid? What was the cost for battery & labor?

Google “hybrid battery repair yourcity “ and see if there are shops near you that can replace faulty cells. This uses a pretty big battery pack, and isn’t nearly as common as a Prius, so replacing the whole pack will be pretty expensive.
