Why does the smell of gasoline come in through the heat/ac vents in my car? it started about two months ago and I’ve had two different mechanics look at it, they couldn’t find the cause. It happens regardless of when I fill up.
Have someone carefully inspect the fuel injectors for leaks.
When the o-rings for a fuel injector starts to leak, it can release gasoline as a very fine mist. And doesn’t take very much gasoline to create that smell.
