When I turn the steering wheel it emits a moaning sound. Truck is a Duramax 2500 hd 120,000 miles. Stock tires and wheels and no front eend work.
Likely the power steering pump is getting old. Steering moans are a very common problem when designing a new steering system. The steering engineers make the moan go away when new, but can’t guarantee it will stay away for the life of the car.
Assuming it has enough power steering fluid, replace fluid first to see if that cures it. Maybe replace the pump or get used to the noise as long as the power steering still works OK.
