2005 Nissan Xterra 72,000 Kms

I got the service light a week after i got the SUV serviced. The dealer checked and said the fuel sending unit is bad and that my guage will show wrong fuel level. But i find nothing wrong with my guage because everytime i fill up the gas i reset the miles and compare the guage to miles driven.

I decided not to get the Fuel sender changed. Please advice ?

You mentioned a ‘service light’.

Does that mean a light/icon directly associated with the fuel tank/gas guage?

Do you mean the SES or CEL is on? Any codes? If there are, please post the code number so we can better help. (Eg.,PO1234)
