My cruise control has completely stopped working. It worked intermittently while on a 1500 mile road trip, but now won’t work at all.
Is this typical of a 94k mile Ford minivan?
Take the vehicle for a drive.
Place your left toe under the brake pedal and lift up on the brake pedal.
Now try engaging the cruise control.
If the cruise control works, there’s a problem with the brake light switch.
Tester
Check that your brake lights are working, especially the third (center) one. The cruise control on two of my care was disabled by a burned out center brakelight.
