2005 Chrysler Sebring intermittent starting problem

Intermittent starting problem! All dash lights lite up but no
Starter action. Come back the next day and it may start right up. Mechanic can’t make it happen so he can’t repair it.
I’m a 50 year audio repair tech and it’s got me baffled.
I need a repair manual. Any ideas about the problem?

There are safety switches in the starter circuit that prevent starting the engine when not in Park or Neutral and the brake on. Try starting the engine in Neutral when this trouble happens, the neutral safety switch may have a problem. Also make sure the brake lights work to verify power to the brake switch. You should also clean the battery connections in case the trouble is there. Ebay is good place to get a factory service manual for the car.
