I have a 2004 Ford Ranger 52K mi V6 ,2WD, suddenly began making a loud squeal in the front left tire area - not while braking and only when making a right hand turn and especially on a downhill grade. I pulled wheel off and could find nothing obvious. Any idea what the noise maker could be?
Usually a constant squeal would be a brake pad wear indicator. How do the pads look?
Pads look OK - were replaced about 10K ago. Never had squeal like this when brakes are not being used and only when turning wheel to right and only out of left side. Truck is due for inspection in July anyway so they will be looking over brakes, just looking for more info before I take it in. thanks for the input.
