My daughter’s 2004 Pt Cruiser would not start after the huge storm we had with 140 mph winds. Before that it was running perfectly. It had a recent tune-up that included a water pump and timing belt replacement. I doesn’t do anything at all just all the lights go on when the key is in the run position.
Your daughter’s car probably got water blown into various places, for example ignition components. Something similar happened to me years ago after I drove an old Chevrolet through flood water that was a lot deeper than I thought. Have the car towed to a good mechanic to see how much it will cost to get it running again.
