The lever and cable assembly for moving the driver’s seat back and forth is broken. We think we can fix it if we can remove the seat and weld the broken part. Is there a schematic of the seat and seat bracket that would help in removing the seat online?
Anyone else have this problem?
Your best source could be in the Haynes, or Chilton’s, repair manual. Interior diagrams aren’t readily available online.
Removing a front seat is usually just a matter of removing 4 bolts, one at each corner of the seat mount. Once you have it out, the point where the mechanism broke should be pretty obvious. If necessary, you could also remove the passenger seat and look at the intact mechanism= it is likely a mirror image of the driver side.
