I am an owner of a 2003 Honda Accord, American-made. Several weeks ago problems with the trunk developed. Namely, the damn thing won’t open. Neither the lever inside nor the button on the key fob will do the trick. Only the master key itself opens it. I’ve made sure the trunk switch is unlocked, and still nothing happened. Am I missing something?
You’ll need to stick your head in there and look around a little at the lock and solenoid mechanism. If you actually have a lever attached to a cable that opens the lock, see if that is still attached at the lock or not. The solenoid probably activates the same mechanism that the cable is attached to. If the lever activates the solenoid instead, then you probably have a dead solenoid or blown fuse.
