I have 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd. Yellow Check Engine light has come on periodically but now stays on. In sync with the yellow light, the transmission acts up. Won’t go into high gear, RPMS hover at around 3000 and is laggy in 1st gear. I needed to replace battery yesterday, and symptoms and light went away. Problem is back today. ???
When you took out your battery you reset the light. the problem wont go away but it sounds like a clogged filter or tranny going out, very common problem with chrysler products.
