I have had the turn signal mechanism replaced three times under warranty. I now have had the vehicle for over 104,000 miles. The problem with the turn signals is that there are many steering wheel positions that prevent the turn signal coming on and small steering wheel movements turn the turn signal off. I believe this is an engineering problem but would be happy to listen to any suggestions for this problem. I grumble every time I have to fight the turn signal on.
Same situation with my 2004 F-150, I just learn to adapt.
Ford dealer parts man 29 years and have never seen that problem in our shop. Have they tries changing the “clock spring”, the spinning contact behind the steering wheel that maintains electrical contact while spinning the wheel ?
