2001 Chevy Impala

I’ve been told the the transmission/coolant has a leak and that the gasket is probably cracked. It seems that this gasket is under the engine and that is very costly. Also I have water on the front passenger side and I don’t know where it is coming from. Any suggestions?

  1. replace the gasket. The fluid is under pressure and there’s no other correct way to stop the leak.

  2. clean the drain from the AC evaporator. Chances are it’s plugged and the water from the evaporator is dripping down onto your floor.
