My car had an accident and after repairs the Gearbox selection became a problem. Only one gear is now driving and others are not selected. My Auto electrician diagnosed the car and found out that the gear Brain box have an issue. How can i repair it.
More likely a replace rather than repair.
By “ brain box” I guess you mean the processor that controls the transmission.
“Gearbox” do you mean automatic transmission?
The Brain Box part number is 8D0927156AS and VIN : WVWPD23B6YR229488.
I need a link to getting new or refurbished one.
Did your insurance cover the repair? If so, did you tell them about this follow-on issue?
A power-train control module, abbreviated PCM, is an automotive component, a control unit, used on motor vehicles. It is generally a combined control unit, consisting of the engine control unit (ECU) and the transmission control unit (TCU).
