2000 Volkswagen Jetta oil leak

I have a 2000 VW Jetta tdi 1.9L… the problem I’m having is that I can drive and drive all day long no problems what so ever but when I turn the car off and leave it over night, 2 to 2 1/2 quarts of oil leaked out. Not sure what it could be.

Have to get it on a lift or jack stands and look.

You probably leaked lots of oil while driving and leaked some more on your garage floor. Two quarts would completely cover your garage floor and make a real mess.

It’s possible your oil filter was not screwed on tight enough and you crankcase breather hose (PCV) is partially plugged as well. When you shut off the car the pressure building up would force some oil out past the filter seal.

As advised, put the car on stands and see where you think it is coming from. You may not have a complete answer then but at least you will know approximately where it is coming from.

The get it foxed ASAP.
