I have a 2000 Toyota 4runner. I have a problem with a rear wheel sticking as in the pads seems to be sticking to the drum. I have dismantled and reassembled all the brakes but the problem persists. If I stop the car then let off the brakes the car hesitates until the brake shoe lets go of the drum, in some cases it’s a loud clunk. If I do the same w/ the emergency brake (to rule out the wheel cylinder) the same thing happens. Is this caused by unevenly worn brake shoes? When I took the brakes apart the previous mechanic had put them together wrong and the spring holding the shoes at the top of the assembly was binding on the adjuster.
