I have a 2000 lexus es300. I ordered a key fob on line. Went to dealership and had key cut. Put key in ignition but cannot get the key out. It will turn on and off but cannot get it out.
I’d go right back to the dealer that cut it.
Dealership says bring them the car. Told the I would if I could start it or get the key out.
The dealer can sell you a new key case (Less transmitter) for $80 but if your key is stuck you may have to replace the lock cylinder.
Last month a customer brought in an aftermarket key to be cut, it would not fit in the door lock but worked in the ignition. The parts department counter man said that this is common with cheap aftermarket keys.
