I’ve got an 08 Mazda 3, it’s a fine car but the Mrs. lost a set of keys. Replacements are 200 smackers at the dealership for the keys and a fob. Is there anyway around this?
Make the missus pay, I bet she won’t lose the keys again.
go the old fashioned way and just have a regular key cut at the dealership…
That’s fine if the OP doesn’t want to be able to actually start the car with the new key.
Call around to your local locksmiths. Chances are good you will have the same guy make your new key, but the dealer will add their markup on it.
Not all locksmiths can do all cars, but generally you can find one that will take care of your problem for a lot less than $200.
