Thumping/knocking noise coming from front end on acceleration or deceleration. What is it? Had all engine and transmission mounts replaced, noise still there.
Could be a lot of things, CV joints, strut rods for example.
The entire front end has been checked and re-checked, including at the Honda dealership. They all say everything looks good- everything’s “tight”.
How does the Honda dealership explain the noise?
They said it was a normal noise associated with anti-slip something or other- something about a shaft moving or something like that. I know I’m being vague, but I really don’t remember exactly what he said- this was three years ago. The vehicle has been making this noise ever since, but did not make it when we first got it. I have not heard of this occurring in anyone else’s Odyssey.
