no fuel at the rail of my 1999 ford ranger 3.0V6
My Chrystal ball says…fuel pump relay or fuel pump.
but with the limited info you gave, you could be out of gas.

Not sure if applies to trucks, but some Ford passenger cars have a fuel pump cutoff gadget (usually in the trunk) that activates to turn off fuel pump electrical supply in event of collision. If your truck has this same gadget, try pressing the reset button. Maybe you inadvertently triggered it when you hit a pothole.
