Greetings Volvo fans, I have a '98 Volvo S70, great car ! One problem though: electric door lock button on driver side operates all door lock knobs, but even though the knob moves up and down on the front passenger side the door is still not locking. I am fairly capable and looking to fix myself but seeking guidance as to the source of this problem. Seeking help from the Car Talk Community. Thanks in advance. Tom
I assume the lock also doesn’t work when you push the post down manually. If it works with the key then perhaps a linkage to the lock mechanism has come loose. Once you are inside the door to look things over it should be pretty easy for you to figure out what is going on with it I would think.
