Civic has 91,000 miles, just had timing belt replaced, water pump, and other maintenance done but now hear a squealing noise from under the hood on right side when I accelerate. It quiets down when car has been running a while. My mechanic greased the distributor cap but it’s still squealing. He thinks distributor might need replacing.
“Greased the distributor cap?” What kind of grease did your mechanic use?
I suggest you get a second opinion from another mechanic.
Are you sure it is coming from the right side? It sounds like it is a loose belt.
