I have a 1996 SL320 whose battery went day. After replacing my computer does not reconize that the top is up and is locked. It rings a bell 9 times when I start out and the light stays on in the toggle switch.
Everything works like it should, top, windows and roll bar all go up and down as they should. When top is down the bell is silent and the toggle light is off. My mechanic cannot figure out the problem. Any suggestions?
One of the latches on the top of your windshield may be bad . . . I believe each latch actually includes a microswitch
