Where is the blower motor resistor on a 1996 Chevy Cavalier?
It will be mounted on the blower housing as it uses the air from the blower to cool it. Sometimes the glovebox requires removal to gain access to the resistor assembly.
Tester
Take a look at the heater duct box, passenger side, near the blower motor. It will have 4 wires coming out of it, (black/white, tan, lite blue and orange). $25.00 at autozone, part #DR784, holds in place with 2 screws. The wire comes from the dashboard then branches into 2 sockets, one goes to the blower and other to the resistor. It will be mounted upside down.
