Remember what I told you about Verify verify verify… Never just swap parts… know what they do, how they do it… and check to see that they are doing their job… then move forward.
I think you learned many many things here…some you may not even be aware of.
Thanks again for the update… the guys here deserve the good news, they help people tirelessly on this site… and for free. Again… Bravo
Good job there OP. Glad you stuck with it and got your Accord purring again
Consider to buy yourself an inexpensive gadget called a “noid light” since you are clearly diy’er inclined. That’s how many shops would diagnose this problem. Take some of those parts you bought and didn’t need back to the part store and exchange them for a noid light.
Thanks! A lot of the parts were likely due to be replaced soon anyway so I’ll probably keep them. The only part I bought that I likely didn’t need was a distributor, but since those tend to go out on Honda’s, I’m fine keeping it.
If that’s the case, I would try inspecting the path where the wiring is located to find the damage and to make sure it would not short to the ground or make any other trouble.
Once I was helping a friend of mine to fix his Nissan Maxima where squirrel chewed injector wiring harness… at around 10F outside with wind and snow… it was not fun.
You better fix what has damage at a comfort of the garage or at least driveway next to your house.
