I replaced the timing belt an waterpump at 262,000 miles and ever since the engine makes a loud low pitch noise that varies in pitch depending on the engine speed. I replaced the alternator and it didn’t help. I don’t know if the power steering pump, a/c compressor or something else is making this awful sound.
Did you replace the timing belt tensioner pulley?
