1988 Suzuki Samurai Ignition fuse keeps blowing

I have a 1988 Suzuki Samurai that blows ignition fuses as soon as I turn the key. It occured 1 time approx. 6 months ago when it was being driven and after replacing the fuse all was well until a few weeks ago. It again blew the ignition fuse when the car was being driven which was exactly the same as the first time this happened.

This time it continues to blow fuses when turning the key.

Any suggestion for troubleshooting this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Pull out your multimeter band a wiring diagram and check circuits for shorts. There is a reason the fuse blows, and it is somewhere on the ignition circuit. Possibly a module that is shorting out or a wire that is pinched.

For a wiring diagram, get a Haynes repair manual, available at any parts store and at www.haynes.com
