Hi there!
As mentioned in the title, my '06 Honda CRV makes a short scraping sound when turning. But more interestingly, it only makes this sound when the car has just been started. If I’ve been driving, the sound will not occur. The sound itself is a short scrape which seems to originate in the rear passenger side of the vehicle. I’ve researched this problem a bit, but everything I’ve turned up is related to the AWD model, while my CRV is 2WD.
Any ideas? Just had the brakes serviced and checked, so that’s out as well.
Thanks so much!

Does serviced and checked mean new parts? If so, that might be what you’re hearing.
auto-owner,
Specifically, I had all four brakes checked and the rear pads replaced due to wear. The scraping sound predates this brake maintenance. I had hoped that the brakes would be the problem, and thus resolve the issue, but nothing has changed regarding the scrape sound.
