Hi all,
I have a 2003 Jetta and just replaced the low beam bulb for the passenger side headlight. That went fine and it works. But now whenever I open the driver side door, it beeps like the key is in the ignition even though it’s not. It stops when I close the door or even leave the door open but put the key in and engage the electrical system.
I tried pulling several fuses, but couldn’t find one that would stop the beeping.
Anyone have any clue as to what might be going on?

Car’s “beep” at you when they are trying to tell you something is wrong, are you sure it is the “key in” reminder beep?
Try to undo what you did and see if you can at least return to square one (maybe the car’s “bulb out” sensing system (if it has one) doesn’t like the type of bulb you put in.
Find a use a exact same bulb for replacement.
