I took it to an indepedent repair facility, and $140 and one day later it still says the right rear door is open. Any suggestions other than tracing the entire electrical system?
You should not need to do that. There will be a switch either somewhere on the doorjam or possibly in the hinge that completes the circuit to ground when the door is open. You may need a manual to find it, but that’s the likely source of the problem. It may even just be loose or out of adjustment.
It eneded up needing a Body Control Module.
