I have a 1995 Mercedes C280. The windshield wiper motor stopped. The symptoms began with the blade sticking occationally while on, then it stopped altogether. Is it the motor that needs to be replaced or something else?
If the mechanism for the wiper system got jammed somehow then it could damage the motor windings. Check the fuse for the motor and make sure it is ok. You may have to remove the linkage to the motor and apply power to it and see if the motor works.
