How much pressure does it take to put on the wiper snap-on arm between the motor and the blades? Can it be pushed on by just hand pressure? How the hell does one get there hand in there to do the work?
Nissan has been making Sentras for a long time. They’re not all the same. You haven’t told us how old your Sentra is.
You also haven’t given us enough information about what you’re trying to do to enable us to help you.
It’s hard to believe that a whole lot of pressure is involved in the installation of wiper arms.
It’s easy once you take the hood off… Try to avoid destructive force in both removing and installing wiper arms…It is not necessary…Skill always trumps brute force…
Sometimes I used to jam something metal in there to release the pressure. A screwdriver used to help on some wiper arms.
It’s 1998 model.
The piece that broke is a bar that attaches from the windshield motor to the part before the wiper blade assembly. It has two plastic snap on ends about three quarter inch wide hole; otherwise it’s just a metal bar. So the part is hidden under the plastic grill below the windshield. I sure don’t want to take off the hood! I would discribe as a plastic ball joint thing.
