i just bought this car and it needs a top.i can do this but it needs too be cheap.so where do i get the parts cheap.it a 91 lx.

Rockauto is totally reliable but do yourself a favor and go to the book store or Amazon and get an auto upholstery book.

Back in the day my dad, brother and I put a JCWhitney rag top on a 63 VW bug.
It took a couple days ( mostly dad’s work with the ‘help’ of us 10 & 13 year olds ) and didn’t quite fit right in some places. But it got the job done, looked ok and didn’t leak.

Allow yourself the time to stretch out the job to your abilities with weather permitting or use a garage.

'91 LX what? Several manufacturers make an LX model.

Tops aren’t all that easy to install. That’s why the upholstery shops get around $1000 to install a top that probably cost them $200 to $300. The labor and necessary skills can be daunting. Be careful not to bite off more than you can chew.
