what could be making a clacking noise,from under the front of my car when i apply my brakes and turn.
Very possibly worn CV joints. Common ailment on 9 year old cars.
You said, “CLACKING”? Worn CV joints (on an axle) start by making a CLICKING noise during turns. The clicking should be LESS with the brake on during the turn, not more. Your problem may be a brake. Have a mechanic look at the brakes.
